Altitude Gin captures the experiences and sensations of the Alpine mountains. They needed a brand infused with their provenance and story to position them as the mountain gin market leader. Authenticity was key, interpreting rather than translating their tone of voice. No matter where in the world you are, there is always the spirit of the mountains. This became the core personality; an identity that could comfortably travel into new territories: ‘esprit des montagnes’.

Altitude Gin is on a mission to be the most talked about and loved super premium gin. We were asked to infuse the brand with its strong provenance and story to position Altitude Gin as the mountain gin market leader.
Altitude Gin’s botanicals – myrtle, elderflower and an essence of pine – are the perfect expression of their provenance; delivering a taste that transports you directly to Chamonix and the foothills of Mont Blanc. The gin thrives in pairing to its surroundings. The challenge was bottling the brand in a way that could cross oceans.
The tone of voice needed to be confident – interpreted rather than just translated from its French origin. Altitude Gin is a premium product, from humble beginnings, so absolute authenticity was key. With the client based in Chamonix, we were able to test that our approach resonated with the locals, literally taking our work into the village. We discovered, no matter where in the world you are, there is always the spirit of the mountains.
Mountains bring a sense of freedom and independence. They are spaces where friendships form and solidify. This became the core personality; an identity that could comfortably travel into new territories.
We used high contrast black and white imagery, fashionable styling and a French typeface to subtly communicate the brand’s origins while speaking to its high quality. Wherever Altitude Gin goes, it takes the spirit of the mountains with it.
